November 12 -17, 2012: AmeriCorps Work
An AmeriCorps group worked at Fort Verde SHP between November 12 - 17. They worked tirelessly with our volunteers George Dvorak and Jim Worthington. We'd like to publically thank them for the great job they did! This dedicated group accomplished the following tasks:
- Scraped, primed and applied finish coat to 90 picket fence sections - approximately 720'
- Cut and replaced 30 picket slats; replaced, primed an painted 1 - 4" x 6' beam
- Replaced primed an painted 48' sections of white picket fence
- Pulled Bermuda grass from the demonstration garden; rearranged and organized the storage unit
