24th Annual Verde River Day: September 29, 2012

Verde River Days promotes preservation and care of the environment by showcasing informative exhibits on the Verde River's riparian habitat. Events included hands-on activities, fishing, canoeing, live entertainment, nature-based exhibits, sandcastle building, a menagerie of live animals, a climbing wall, canoe rides, nature hikes, as well as continuous entertainment and local food vendors. Final attendance was 3,083 people!
Thanks to all volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, bands, staff, and community groups for making this event a success. Volunteers worked hard to haul canoes, lead hikes, program kids activities, and set up and tear down the event. A special thanks to the Verde River Day Planning Committee, in particular Pam Miller, Co-Chair (Verde Independent CEO) and Laure Thomson, Co-Chair (Verde Independent Business Manager) for their dedication and support to keeping the event organized! Plus we'd like to thank to the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce for their support, and Leonard Miller for emceeing the event.
We'll see you at next year's event. Video coming soon.
